Ankith Koyya started his acting journey during his school and college days by participating in street plays, stage performances, and cultural activities. Even while studying engineering, he remained highly interested in acting and storytelling. During a college event in 2015, his performance caught the attention of an advertising director, which eventually helped him get an OLX commercial alongside actor Allu Arjun.
In 2016, he made his acting debut with the Telugu short film Yedhane Vadili Vellipomake. His performance received appreciation, and he won the SIIMA Short Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. This success encouraged him to continue pursuing acting professionally despite initially planning to work in a regular software job after engineering.
Ankith made his feature film debut with the Telugu film Majili in 2019 starring Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Later, he gained further recognition through films like Johaar, Thimmarusu, Shyam Singha Roy, and Satyabhama. His performances in Aay and Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam in 2024 especially received strong appreciation from critics and audiences.
